THE PANTONE COLOR OF 2024 IS…

It's official. The Pantone Color of the year 2024 will be...

HERE'S A FEW THINGS TO KNOW ABOUTPEACH FUZZ

How do you feel about Peach as the new Pantone color of the year? I admit, I was excited about this color.  I mean, after years of seeing intensely vibrant hues like last year's “Viva Magenta” and cool, muted shades like 2022's “Very Peri” I'm ready to welcome the soft yet warm and versatile color "Peach Fuzz".  Wait!!! Versatile?  Really???

Yes!  If you're worried about a wave of pinks and pastels flooding the fashion, furnish, and special event industry… don't be.  Peach can easily work with earth tones, metallics, neutrals, nudes, warm colors, and so much more.  So let's take a look at some ways you made see this color in 2024.

Here are a couple of simple tips for handling these colors:

1. Monochromatic palettes are often one of the easiest ways to select a color scheme for a design. Changing the tints (adding white) and/or tones (adding black) can dramatically change the feel of this color and the impact it has.

2. Another way to select a color palette is a simple color harmony. For example, you can pair it with its complementary color - which for "peach" would be “blue”.  (Of course, there are many other color harmonies and ways to adjust this (and other colors) to create the perfect palette and look.)
