I had the pleasure of chatting with Kayla Porter, Special Events Coordinator at TTM Events, to get a behind-the-scenes look at this incredible venue and what makes it so special!

A Space Crafted with Heart and Purpose

TTM Events officially began its transformation journey in 2021 when the team acquired their spacious building and immediately launched into renovations. From the start, their mission has been clear: to create an adaptable, welcoming space that could serve the diverse event needs of the Hampton Roads community — and beyond!

A Passion for Creativity and Joyful Celebrations

For Kayla, working in events was a dream sparked early on. Originally considering a career in criminal law, she pivoted when she realized her heart was truly in creativity — not courtroom drama. Inspired by the behind-the-scenes magic she admired on channels like E! and BET, Kayla discovered her love for events while working in banquet services during her college years at James Madison University.

"I loved seeing room transformations and the fact that special events were typically joyful occasions," Kayla shares. "Working with clients and guests who are celebrating life's beautiful moments made the job even more rewarding."

That same love for creativity, transformation, and joy continues to fuel the TTM Events team today.

Who They Serve Best

With multiple spaces under one roof — including a ballroom/banquet hall, an auditorium with a stage, breakout rooms, and full-service A/V production capabilities — TTM Events Facility can truly host it all!

While they accommodate a wide range of events each week, the team is especially passionate about welcoming:
